How to Download Your Shipping Document and Invoice
Once your package has shipped, you can download a Shipping Document as a PDF from your Blackship account. It includes an invoice for the fees Blackship charged and your own customs declaration, which is often needed for customs clearance in your destination country.
What the Shipping Document includes
The document is split into clearly distinct parts, including your shipment details.
Package details
At the top, you'll find the key information for your shipment:
Package number and mailbox number
Ship date and date issued
Shipping method and tracking number
Exporter Tax ID, reason for export, and incoterms
The recipient's name and address
Part 1: Shipping and service fees invoice
This is an invoice for the fees you paid Blackship, which may include:
Shipping
Service requests (e.g., Consolidation)
Storage
It also shows the total paid.
Part 2: Your self-declared customs values
This section lists the items and values you declared for customs, including each item's description, composition, country of origin, HS code, quantity, unit value, and total value.
⚠️ Important: this part is your own self-declaration, not an invoice. Blackship does not sell your items and receives no payment for them, so these are the values you entered yourself. Customs may ask for proof of purchase, so we recommend keeping your own receipts or order confirmations from the original sellers.
