How Long Does Processing Take?

Receiving Your Package at Our Warehouse

When your package arrives at our warehouse, we will:

  • Take a photo of the exterior

  • Measure and log the dimensions and weight

  • Add the package to your mailbox

This process typically takes 1 to 2 business days. Because of this, there may be a short delay between when tracking shows “delivered” and when the package appears in your mailbox.

Once the intake process is complete, you will receive an email notification confirming that your package has been successfully received and added to your mailbox.

If you do not see your package in your mailbox within 2 business days of it being marked as delivered to our warehouse, please email us at help@blackship.com with the tracking number and delivery date so we can investigate further.


Service Request Timeline

We aim to complete most service requests - including consolidation, split requests, and shipping requests - within 2–3 business days (excluding weekends and Japanese holidays).

Please note that this is an estimate and not a guaranteed timeframe. If we are experiencing a larger backlog or processing delay, we will post an announcement at the top of our website with updated turnaround times.


In a Hurry? Try Priority Processing

If you need your request handled more quickly, you can select Priority Processing.

With Priority Processing, your request is moved ahead of all non-priority requests in the queue. While many priority requests are completed within approximately one business day, we cannot guarantee a specific timeline.

Priority Processing simply places your request at the front of the line and does not guarantee same-day or next-day completion. This applies to all account tiers.

You can add Priority Processing to an existing request by going to your Requests tab and selecting “Make it Express.”


Important Notes About Timelines

Standard turnaround times are estimates and may be affected by:

  • Japanese public holidays

  • Severe weather

  • Temporary staffing shortages

  • High seasonal volume

While we always work to process shipments as quickly as possible, we are unable to offer compensation or discounts for processing delays caused by these factors.

Please note that if a request cannot be carried out and is canceled, the processing time will reset once a new request is submitted.
