Can You Receive Packages from Outside Japan?

Edited

Yes, we can receive packages from outside Japan.

While Blackship is primarily designed for domestic Japanese shipments, we are able to accept international packages as long as proper arrangements are made for customs duties and taxes.

Customs Duties & COD Requirements

If your incoming package is subject to Japanese customs duties or import taxes, we can pay these on your behalf only if:

  • You have accepted our Cash on Delivery (COD) terms

  • You have a valid payment method on file

If a package arrives requiring payment and you have not accepted the COD terms, we will be required to refuse the shipment and it will be returned to the sender.

If you previously declined the COD terms, you will need to contact support to have the agreement reset. Once reset, you will be able to accept the COD terms the next time you log in.

Important Notes

  • As a general guideline, packages valued over 10,000 JPY are likely to incur customs charges.

  • Customs duties are determined by Japanese customs authorities, not Blackship.

  • Some carriers (such as FedEx) may issue customs invoices 1–3 weeks after delivery, so charges may appear after the package has already been received into your mailbox.

If you have any questions about an international shipment, please contact us before ordering.
