Can I make an order from a shop if it requires a phone verification?

Edited

You’re welcome to use our phone number on address forms—it’s a landline, so that’s perfectly fine.

However, please note that we cannot assist with SMS or phone verification required by some websites. If the store you're ordering from requires a mobile number to receive a verification code, you’ll need to use a different Japanese number or another way to receive the code.

For such cases, we recommend using our sister service, Japan Rabbit: https://japanrabbit.com/.

Japan Rabbit can place the order on your behalf, and once the item arrives, you can transfer the package to Blackship for free to consolidate and ship everything together.

Stores that require phone verification:

  • Yahoo Auctions

  • Mercari

  • Melonbooks

  • Pokémon Center*

*Please note: For Pokémon Center orders that are limited to one item per customer, Japan Rabbit can only assist a small number of customers due to limited access to valid phone numbers.
