Can I make an order from a shop if it requires a phone verification?

Edited

You’re welcome to use our Blackship phone number on address forms—it’s a landline, so that’s perfectly fine.

However, we cannot assist with SMS or phone verification required by some websites. If the store you’re ordering from requires a mobile number to receive a verification code, you’ll need to use a different Japanese number or another way to receive the code.

While they do not provide phone numbers or verification codes to customers, our sister service JapanRabbit does maintain their own verified accounts with certain stores and services.

This means:

  • Japan Rabbit can place the order on your behalf using their verified accounts.

  • Once the item arrives, you can transfer it to your Blackship address for free to consolidate and ship everything together.

Stores that require phone verification (JapanRabbit can assist by placing orders with their own accounts):

  • Yahoo Auctions

  • Mercari

  • Melonbooks

  • Pokémon Center*

*Please note: For Pokémon Center orders limited to one item per customer, Japan Rabbit can only assist a small number of customers due to limited access to valid accounts.
