Can I Place an Order from a Shop That Requires Phone Verification?

You’re welcome to use the Blackship phone number on shipping address forms - it’s a landline and works fine for delivery purposes.

However, we cannot assist with SMS or phone verification that some online stores require in order to complete an order. If a store requires a mobile phone number to receive a verification code, you will need to use a different Japanese number or another way to receive the code.

What to Do If Phone Verification Is Required

While Blackship does not provide phone numbers or verification codes for this purpose, our sister service Japan Rabbit can help in some cases. Japan Rabbit has its own verified accounts with certain Japanese stores and marketplaces, and they can place the order on your behalf. Once your item arrives with Japan Rabbit, you can transfer it to your Blackship address for free and include it with your other packages.

Stores where Japan Rabbit may assist with placing orders include:

  • Yahoo Auctions

  • Mercari

  • Melonbooks

  • Pokémon Center*

*For Pokémon Center orders that are limited to one purchase per customer, Japan Rabbit can only assist a limited number of customers due to access restrictions on eligible accounts.
