Shipping Packages Within Japan (Domestic Shipping)
Yes - you can ship packages domestically within Japan using Blackship!
However, due to Japanese regulations, you must first successfully ship at least one package to your verified address on file. This step is required so that your verified address can be matched to the official address documents you provided during registration.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Ship One Package to Your Verified Address
Before adding any other addresses, you’ll need to complete one shipment to your verified home address. It can be anything - even a small item such as a postcard - as long as it successfully ships. It does not need to be delivered. Once this shipment is completed, your address book will unlock.
2. Add Your Domestic Japan Address
After that first shipment is complete and your address book is unlocked, you can go to “My Addresses” → “Add New Address” in your Blackship account and enter your Japanese domestic address (for example, a hotel or friend’s residence).
Please note that we cannot ship to post offices within Japan.
3. Ship to the New Address
Once the address is added, even if it shows as “unverified,” you’ll be able to select it at checkout and ship there via Sagawa.
