Special Requests - Shipping Note
What is a Shipping Note?
A shipping note is a place where customers can add additional comments or preferences regarding their shipment. These notes are visible only to our packing team. Our team reviews all notes and accommodates requests that are within our scope of services. If a request cannot be fulfilled, the team proceeds with the shipment without contacting the customer.
Where is the Shipping Note
You can find the option to add a shipping note in Step 3 of the packing checkout process (at the bottom of the "Add-Ons" section).
Important Information About Shipping Notes:
Our experienced team always strives to pack items safely and efficiently, using the best materials and methods available. While we consider specific requests, please note that we may need to use our discretion to ensure the safety and security of your items during transit. Shipping notes are treated as suggestions, not guaranteed instructions. If your request is outside our scope and cannot be accommodated, we will proceed with the shipment without notifying you.
For highly specific packing requests, we offer a special service at an additional cost to cover the extra time and resources required. If you're interested contact us via the help@blackship.com email address
Examples of Special Requests We Can Accept:
- Dispose of specific items inside the package read more
- Schedule shipping delivery time and date for domestic shipments with Sagawa
- Simple packing preferences (e.g., dispose of the original box of one item to save space).
- Preferences for a specific shipping method (e.g., requesting Seamail if it is not visible at checkout). In such cases, we can try to fit the package within the required dimensions, but we cannot guarantee success.
- Notify us about additional shipping documents attached via email (after being instructed to do so by customer support).
- Any other notes that you were instructed to write by our customer support
Examples of Special Requests We Cannot Accept:
- Splitting items within one package (please place a separate SPLIT request instead).
- Make photo of your items (please place a separate PHOTO request instead).
- Requests specifying packing materials or complicated packing preferences.
- Requests to pack within a fixed price limit.
- Requests for a specific box size (although we can try to fit items into a size required for a given shipping method).
- Requests to ship using your own shipping label
- Requests to pass or receive documentation directly to/from the shipping carrier*
- Adding address details that do not fit within the shipping address field.
- Any other requests outside our scope of services.
*In some cases, such as requests to obtain an export permit from the shipping carrier after the shipment, we may be able to assist you. However, since this falls outside the responsibilities of our packing team, please contact our customer support via email or live chat first for guidance.
